This government actually started in 2015. It was a partnership. The principal actors sat down and negotiated the terms of the partnership. They came out with a deed of partnership known only to them.
They shared offices and positions and responsibilities. One got the top job; the other agreed to wait and succeed him after 8 years. In the meantime, he nominated a gate keeper.
But somewhere along the line the gate keeper started getting ideas, probably nudged by the first principal partner. The second principal partner saw the danger and kicked. That is what informed the audacity of the declaration, “Emi lo kan”.
So save your breath. Stop saying that this government is two months old. It is not. The government is the manifestation of the second part of the agreement. That is why Jagaban could declare with magisterial finality the proscription of what he did not personally remove even before taking over.
Stop trying to differentiate between Buhari regime and Tinubu regime. They are the same ten and ten pence. All the body movement we have seen so far is the partnership deed being executed as agreed. Argue with your keypad.
Not that there is anything wrong with having a partnership. Actually, there is nothing. So chill.
