Nnamdi Kanu, in the cooler, and the Heavens have not fallen. Everyone seems to have left him to his faith. Even the government of his (adopted) country, Britain, has abandoned him. His spiritual country, Israel too, has washed her hands off him.
Sunday Igboho is also in the cooler in neighbouring Benin Republic. Germany, on which he heaped all his hopes, has not so much as asked O’boy how you dey.
This is what I have been saying all along. If you think any world power would trade Nigeria for you, then you are not only naive, but also do not understand the power and respect Nigeria commands in the comity of nations regardless of her challenges.
Yes, Nigeria may have issues at the moment, but when the chips are down, no world power, absolutely no world power, would ignore her 200 (and growing) million people. And do you know why? She is not only a big market, but the world cannot handle the enormous human catastrophe that would ensue should another war break out. France found out the hard way with the 1967-1970 Nigerian civil war.
So, be wise. Your best bet is to be part of the 200 million and help find lasting solution to her challenges.
A word is enough for the wise.
