STORM OVER NOTHING

The opposition to governor Nasir el-Rufai's religious regulation bill has been more vociferous from Christians. They claim it is the beginning of the Islamization of Kaduna State and, by extension, Nigeria.
That simply shows that many of the Christians opposing the bill have not read it.
I still can't understand why many easily get themselves worked up when a simple google search is all they need to do.
Personally, I have no issues with the bill. My only concern is two-fold:
1. The bill doesn't seem to provide for adherents of the African Traditional Religion; but then they don't make noise like Christians and Muslims do
2. Licensing religious practitioners seems to have effectively given some form of official governmental recognition to religion as opposed to it being a personal matter
Aside these two, there is nothing bad whatsoever with the bill – in my opinion, that is.
The hue and cry is storm over nothing. This is as I see it.
