Apostle Suleman Vs Stephanie Otobo: Silent Musings

Apostle Suleman and Stephanie Otobo (Google pictures)

Let me make one thing clear. I do not believe Stephanie Otobo. That however does not mean I believe Apostle Suleman. I believe neither Stephanie nor Apostle Suleman. In fact, there is no reason whatsoever for me to believe any of them. Stephanie’s stories just aren’t adding up. One instance will do. She claims she vomited blood for over 12 months on account of the substance Suleman gave her to drink, yet she did not indicate how she was cured, how the vomiting stopped.

On the other hand, Apostle Suleman describes Stephanie as a stripper, yet he has not exactly denied paying money into her account. My question is why pay money into a striper’s account? What was the money for?

At least one instance proves Apostle Suleman as a man who cannot control his emotions. Ever since he made that infamous hate-preach against the Fulani which he later followed up with a wishy washy unconvincing lie that he meant it in the context of self-defense, I find it difficult to believe Suleman in anything. Any so-called man of God who can incite violence from the pulpit without batting an eye is capable of doing anything. I have seen enough of this type of men of God to know that they are anything but the image they portray in public. Apostle Suleman is unconvincing as far as I am concerned.

That however does not mean he is necessarily guilty in this case with Stephanie. I cannot say he is not guilty either. All I can say is that there is something both are not telling us. Only two of them know the truth. I do not believe, one bit, all they have been spewing out in public.

What I find curious in the whole drama however is that Festus Keyamo is again featuring in the controversy. I find myself asking why Keyamo is always somehow connected to scandal.

In 1999 I remember it was Keyamo who blew the lid on (then) Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu’s Chicago certificate scandal. It was a big scandal then. Tinubu survived it.

Then in 2002 again Keyamo was involved in a controversy involving Olugbenga Adebayo a.k.a Fryo, the alleged killer of Former Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Bola Ige. Keyamo claimed then to be in custody of Fryo and his confession that he pulled the trigger on Bola Ige and that Iyiola Omisore paid him to do that. Omisore was later discharged and acquitted of that case, that high-profile murder remains unsolved till date.

What became curious to me then was the role Keyamo’s younger brother played. He publicly declared then that Keyamo was not only lying but also manipulating Fryo. That put Keyamo’s case, and integrity, in jeopardy, even though he might have had a good case. Keyamo claimed his brother was manipulated, probably blackmailed into turning against him.

And now this latest controversy surrounding Apostle Suleman and Stephanie Otobo! Again, Keyamo is in the middle. Keyamo himself once had a divorce scandal with his wife. My question is why always Keyamo, a damned good lawyer, by the way?
