On Religion – Frank Ofili

Africans! Or more specifically, Nigerians! Some believe that by just identifying with Israel they have joined the list of God’s chosen people.

Odiegwu!

Who is to tell these people that God created everybody and does not have any chosen or favourite people? God does not even have a favourite religion.

Religions are/were creations of man! They are personal. Any religion you choose to adopt to reach God is your business, it is not God’s business. You don’t even need to have a religion at all to reach God.

Indeed, the only religion God accepts is for you to be nice to your fellow man; to treat him with decency, respect and dignity; to treat him how you would like to be treated. Any other thing does not matter to God.

Bottomline? We are not created to worship God. We are created to SERVE HUMANITY!

All these religious books touted to have been written many years ago by so-called spirit-inspired men are simply instructional books for the adherents of the particular religions. Their purpose is for control, to keep you in line!

Me, I reach God directly, no go-between. I communicate with God directly and I don’t have a particular day, time or method to do it! God doesn’t even need that.
